A Conversation with Natasha Bilimoria
A long-time advocate and leader for global health and development, Natasha Bilimoria was appointed to serve in a senior leadership role at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Biden administration. Bilimoria discussed USAID’s role in the global COVID-19 response. She also shared lessons from her experiences leading efforts to mobilize U.S. support to fund childhood immunization in developing countries and to advance programs addressing HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria in low-resource settings.

Natasha Bilimoria serves as deputy assistant administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Global Health. Most recently, she was the director of U.S. strategy for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Previously, she served as president of Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and acting director of public policy at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
John Monahan is the senior advisor for global health to President John J. DeGioia; senior fellow, McCourt School of Public Policy; and senior scholar, O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law.
