Global Health Student Fellows

The Global Health Student Fellows program is a year-long opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to collaborate with faculty on research projects, participate in global health-related events, and network with peers and scholars in the global health field.

Application Period

The application period for the 2026-2027 program will open on Friday, August 14, 2026, and close on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Since its launch in 2017, the Global Health Student Fellows program has welcomed nearly 200 students from over 30 nationalities. Representing all schools at Georgetown, the fellows reflect the program’s broad interdisciplinary scope and global reach.

Research Project

Fellows collaborate with their mentor to develop a cutting-edge global health project related to research, policy, or direct impact. They also receive ongoing mentorship to develop their skills and connect with other research groups.

Speaker Series and Discussions

Fellows engage with global health leaders to explore the global health field and reflect on the shared values underpinning their work.

Research Showcase

At the end of the academic year, fellows present their research to peers and faculty to showcase the outcomes of their work. Top presentations receive commendations and awards.
