INSPIRE

The Georgetown University Global Health Institute and the Georgetown University Berkley School of Nursing launched INnovations in Solving Problems through Interdisciplinary Research and Education (INSPIRE) to address global healthcare challenges through an interdisciplinary, collaborative case challenge.

INSPIRE connects students from a range of disciplines, including medicine, law, economics, and public policy, to explore new approaches to solving real-world challenges. This hands-on, interdisciplinary approach helps students build critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills that are transferable across sectors.

Students from any school within the university are welcome to participate. Facilitated by faculty from various fields, these two-hour case challenges divide students into groups of 7 to 10, with each group intentionally composed of students from a mix of academic backgrounds.

INSPIRE embraces the idea that interdisciplinary education lends itself to collaborative problem solving, especially in situations where there is not one single correct solution.
