Luz Sanchez Romero

My work focuses on the use of simulation modeling to estimate the population’s long-term health impact of public health policies and preventive interventions. In particular, I have expertise in assessing tobacco regulations and obesity preventive interventions. I am part of the Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown. I work within the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network (CISNET) Lung Group and the Tobacco Center for Regulatory Science (TCORS) 2.0 Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations (CAsToR). These NIH-NCI consortiums aim to provide evidence-based and expert-informed modeling of the behavioral and public health impacts of tobacco regulations and lung cancer prevention interventions.
