Nalini Anand
Global Health Institute
Nalini Anand, J.D., MPH, is the managing director of the Global Health Institute at Georgetown University. From 2002 to 2025, she served at the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health, where she held roles including director of the Division of International Science Policy, Planning and Evaluation and founding director of the Center for Global Health Studies. In these positions, she helped shape Fogarty’s strategic direction, advanced multidisciplinary research initiatives, and supported the development of emerging global health research fields. Earlier in her career, she practiced health law in Washington, DC, and worked at the National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Medicine. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School and later an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
