Kerry Bruce

Dr. Bruce serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of International Health. She teaches courses in data analysis and Monitoring and Evaluation for the Department. Dr. Bruce has over 25 years of development experience and has spent more than 20 years living in African and Asian countries and is a recognized global health expert.

Dr. Bruce currently serves as the Health, Nutrition and Health System Strengthening Director for the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Dr. Bruce was the VP for International Programs at Bixal, a federal government contractor, was the CEO of her own small business, Clear Outcomes and was the Executive Vice President for Programs at Social Impact. In these roles she provided monitoring, evaluation and learning support to federal and non-federal clients. As the Senior Director for Global Health and Measurement for Pact, she supported more than 20 country programs in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Pact’s projects focused on HIV, maternal and child health, community health, livelihoods, capacity development, natural resource management and democracy and governance. She also led monitoring and evaluation for Pact, designing impact indicators and implementing an organization wide online M&E platform. Dr. Bruce previously served as the Country Director for ICAP at Columbia University in eSwatini, directing the implementation of a clinical ART care and treatment program and multiple research projects. Before this she worked on international public health and refugee relief programs in Ghana, Indonesia, Uganda, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Dr. Bruce holds a DrPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina, an MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and an MA from the University of British Columbia in Geography. She completed her undergraduate work at Pennsylvania State University in International Political Science with a Minor in Chinese language. She speaks Thai and Indonesian with professional proficiency.
