Global Health Student Fellows Application

The application opens in mid-summer each year. Successful applicants are notified by mid-September. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept late applications.

Eligibility

This is a competitive opportunity open to all full-time Georgetown undergraduate and graduate students. Past student fellows and students graduating before May of the following year are not eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

As a fellow, you will be part of an interdisciplinary community united by a shared interest in global health. Each fellow works five to ten hours per week on a research project under the mentorship of a faculty advisor. Responsibilities include contributing to ongoing research, participating in monthly group discussions on relevant topics with faculty and peers, and presenting your findings at the end of the year. Fellows are also expected to engage in networking opportunities and attend global health-related events throughout the program.

Compensation

Undergraduate fellows will receive $17.50/hour, and graduate fellows will receive $22.66/hour.

Process

To apply, applicants must complete a form, which requires uploading the following information in a single PDF document:

  1. CV/Resume
  2. A statement of interest (350-word maximum) indicating your motivation to apply, what you can bring to and learn from the fellowship, and your three top choices for projects
  3. Unofficial transcript(s)
