Global Health Institute Faculty Council
The Georgetown University Global Health Institute (GUGHI) Faculty Council brings together senior representatives from across the global health community at Georgetown University to help set priorities for the institute and strengthen the impact of our collective work.
Established in November 2024, the GUGHI Faculty Council supports the institute’s mission by exploring and recommending opportunities for optimizing interdisciplinary collaboration within the Georgetown University global health community in order to amplify the university’s global health impact across its key pillars of education, research, policy, and service, as well as enable the formation of strategic partnerships.
The council is comprised of 27 senior faculty and leaders from across all Georgetown schools and academic health units, as well as representatives from MedStar Health, the university’s business operations team, and the student body. It is chaired by Phyllis R. Magrab, Ph.D., professor of pediatrics and UNESCO chair.
