Interdisciplinary Global Health Case Challenge

Addressing Wildfires Through a Multidisciplinary Lens

Continuing on its spring 2025 theme, the fall 2025 case challenge will focus on the health and life impacts of wildfires on individuals and communities, while identifying gaps in health care systems that delay timely care.

Held once each semester, this competition is open to current undergraduate and graduate students from across Georgetown University. In preparation for the event, participants will receive the case and relevant resources to review. During the event, they will collaborate in Zoom breakout rooms before coming together to share their proposals. A panel of judges composed of university faculty will evaluate the proposals and select a winning team. Participants from the winning team will receive mentorship and support to represent the university at the 2026 DC Public Health Case Challenge.

Registration will close on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

This case challenge is hosted by INnovations in Solving Problems through Interdisciplinary Research and Education (INSPIRE), a joint initiative between the Berkley School of Nursing and the Global Health Institute at Georgetown University.
