Leadership During Crisis: Combating the Coronavirus

The rapid spread of COVID-19 is forcing public officials to make decisions in real time as they grapple with a global crisis unlike any we’ve seen in the modern era. This online conversation will convene some of the nation’s leading experts at the frontlines of the pandemic response to share insights on the pressing questions we are facing today: How are federal, state and local governments responding to this crisis? What is Congress doing to alleviate the effects of the coronavirus on American families? What will the long-term effects on our economy be? And, perhaps most importantly, what are public health experts doing—and urging individuals to do—to control the spread of this deadly disease?

This event was co-sponsored by Georgetown University's Global Health Initiative and the Institute of Politics and Public Service at the McCourt School of Public Policy.
