Jennifer Hayes-Klosteridis Joins Georgetown University Medical Center to Support Global Health Operations

Jennifer Hayes-Klosteridis, Ph.D., has been appointed as assistant vice president for global health operations at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC). This new role provides operations support and coordination for GUMC global health programs operating in more than a dozen countries and their continued expansion of global health operations.

Hayes-Klosteridis assists the GUMC global health community with processes from budget oversight to grants to human resources to regulatory compliance, ensuring that the centers and programs are fully supported as they pursue the overall strategic goals of improving health care access, quality, and equity globally. She began her work in this role in September 2024. Most immediately, she is focusing on building a strong infrastructure by creating a service cluster beginning with a dedicated international human resources manager reporting to Amri Rouson, a procurement analyst reporting to LaShonda Thomas Butler, and a grants manager reporting to Jenny Turnure.

Additionally, Hayes-Klosteridis will partner with the Georgetown University Global Health Institute (GUGHI) to develop systems and structures that facilitate international work across GUMC and collaborate with operational counterparts in other areas of the university.

Hayes-Klosteridis brings a wealth of experience in leadership, project management, and process improvement, with a strong background in navigating complex university hierarchies to achieve high-quality outcomes. In her previous role as manager in Georgetown's Business Design and Optimization Group, she successfully led initiatives to assist faculty in standing up operations in Ukraine, Dubai, and Jakarta, which will have a lasting impact on the university's global reach. She has engaged with the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact on several projects, including the establishment of Georgetown Global Health, Nigeria as an independent entity.
