Ajay Nathan
Undergraduate Student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service
Ajay Nathan (SFS’25) is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, studying science, technology, and international affairs with a concentration in global health and biotechnology on the pre-medical track. He is passionate about expanding and improving health care access through the use of digital technologies and holistic models of care. Previously, Nathan has worked on projects relating to the connection between international drug companies and opioid use within India through the Laidlaw Fellowship and the effects of proglumide on pancreatic cancer and liver disorders through the Georgetown University Medical Center; most recently, he has started his honors thesis project investigating the role of digital health technologies before, during, and since the COVID-19 pandemic in India. He is also involved with DCivitas Consulting, the South Asian Society, the Alternative Breaks Program, and the Blue and Gray tour guide society at Georgetown. As a 2024-2025 Global Health Student Fellow, Nathan is working with Dr. Oliver Johnson on developing a global health track for Georgetown’s M.D. program through a review of existing global health tracks internationally, surveys and engagement with students and faculty, and input into the design of planning of the curriculum.
