Bernadette Cecilia Morillo (G’21) received a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at Georgetown University. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Bernadette decided to continue her education after obtaining her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from De La Salle University and becoming a board-certified chemist. As a spring 2021 GHI student fellow, she worked with Dr. Paul Roepe to explore antimalarial drug chemistry and its history of use.
