Brian Kirk

Brian Kirk (G'23) is a master's degree student in the biotechnology program at Georgetown University with a specialization in industrial sciences. As an undergraduate at the University of Southern California (USC), he majored in chemical engineering. Following his graduation from USC, Brian was commissioned as a U.S. Navy explosive ordnance disposal officer and spent the next 10 years conducting overseas deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan supporting special operations forces. Brian is passionate about advancing therapeutics to cure debilitating human diseases. As a spring 2022 GHI fellow, he worked with Dr. Paul Roepe on researching antimalarial drug resistance.
