Elisabeth Point Du Jour
Master's Student in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences
Elisabeth Point Du Jour (G’25) is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Global Health program at Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Originally from Haiti, she moved with her family to the United States in 2007. Point Du Jour earned her bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University in 2022, majoring in molecular biology, with minors in chemistry, French, and public and professional writing. She also obtained a Master of Biomedical Sciences degree in 2023 from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Her interests focus on improving maternal and child health, nutrition, humanitarian relief, and the burden of communicable/non-communicable diseases in low and middle-income countries. As a 2024-2025 Global Health Institute Student Fellow, she will work with Dr. Christina X. Marea on the Enhancing Maternal Health in Zanzibar project, a collaborative intervention aimed towards enhancing the feasibility of expanding group antenatal and postpartum care to more clinics in Zanzibar.
