Eva Rest

Eva Rest (SFS’17, G’21) was a master’s student studying global infectious disease. Originally from Illinois, Eva received a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, and international affairs with a concentration in global health from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She has studied multiple aspects of global health, including healthcare access, non-communicable disease, and substance use. A spring 2021 GHI student fellow, she worked with Dr. Shweta Bansal studying infectious disease modeling and disease dynamics. Eva has plans to continue her education in an M.D.-Ph.D. program after graduation, pursuing translational infectious disease research from modeling to medicine.
