George O’Hara (M’26) holds degrees in chemistry and Russian from Haverford College and is a former Fulbright researcher to Ukraine. As a 2024-2025 Global Health Institute Student Fellow he is working with Professor Sam Halabi to design and evaluate strategies for expanding regulatory capacity of diagnostics and therapeutics, particularly vaccines, in response to public health emergencies, and to examine barriers to the implementation of pathogen genomic data-sharing networks.
