Biomedical Graduate Education
Hannah Buechter (G’21) obtained her master’s degree in biohazardous threat agents and emerging infectious diseases in the Biomedical Graduate Education Department. She graduated from University of Georgia with an undergraduate degree in neurobiology and a double minor in global health and Spanish. She researched the effects of BPA exposure on hypertension and behavior in a neuroendocrinology lab, and now she is interested in infectious diseases and global health along with their implications in biosecurity and national security. A spring 2021 GHI fellow, Hannah conducted research with Joan Lombardi on emerging issues, such as COVID-19, and their impacts on child development.
