Heidi Elmendorf

Department of Biology

Heidi Elmendorf is an associate professor in the Department of Biology in the College. She is a member of the Global Health Initiative faculty committee.

International activities include:

  • Conducts research on the intestinal pathogen Giardia lamblia, which causes widespread disease in people and animals worldwide​.
  • Leads the Regents STEM Scholars Program as director.
  • Serves as senior advisor to the president for equity in education.
  • Served as a visiting scholar with the Carnegie Foundation.
