Hyland Brown (C’23) is an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences majoring in biology of global health and minoring in French. She first developed her interest in health education while working as a care extender at UCLA Medical Center. This interest deepened while writing and editing materials to educate fellow students about sensitive health issues in Georgetown University’s Office of Health Education Services. When she graduates, Hyland is interested in pursuing studies at the intersection of global health and law. As a spring 2023 GHI student fellow, she worked with Dr. Leticia Bode to address the rise of health misinformation on social media and evaluate solutions.
