Isaac Traore

Isaac Traore is a Ph.D. candidate in the Global Infectious Disease program at Georgetown University. He is a Fulbright alumnus and an MBA (healthccare) candidate at the European Institute of Applied Science and Management (Czech Republic) with a strong interest in global health security and public health emergencies, antimicrobial resistance, laboratory capacity building, international health regulations, and biorisk management. Isaac has a master of science degree in emergency preparedness from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a bachelor of science in biological and applied medical Science from the Catholic University of Lyon (France). As an aspiring infectious disease specialist, he hopes to continue exploring the infectious causes of acute febrile illnesses and strengthening countries’ surveillance systems as well as pioneering good practices in global health security. As a fall 2022 GHI student fellow, Isaac worked with Dr. Ellie Graeden on global health security, biosecurity, and biosafety.
