Jayashree Ramasethu, M.D., is a professor of clinical pediatrics and medical director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she is the director of neonatal quality and safety. Her interests are in improving facility-based quality of care to reduce neonatal mortality and morbidity in low- and middle-income countries. She has lectured and run workshops in India, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, and Jordan, and she is currently the team lead for a U.S. Agency for International Development/University Research Co. program to improve neonatal care in Jordan.
