Global Health Institute

Julianna Shin (H’23) is an undergraduate student in the School of Health majoring in global health. She is interested in research areas related to maternal and child health issues as well as the influence of medicalization and cultural beliefs and practices on health service delivery and utilization. As a spring 2023 GHI student fellow, Julianna worked with Professor Jessica Kritz on a project related to COVID-19 in Western North Carolina.
