Dr. Luz Sanchez is a member of Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) Program. Her work centers on using simulation modeling to estimate the long-term population health impacts of public health policies and preventive interventions. She brings particular expertise in evaluating tobacco regulations and obesity prevention strategies. Dr. Sanchez also contributes to the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network Lung Group and the Tobacco Center for Regulatory Science (TCORS 2.0) Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations (CAsToR). As part of these NIH–NCI consortiums, Dr. Sanchez plays a key role in providing evidence-based, expert-informed modeling of behavioral and public health outcomes tied to tobacco regulation and lung cancer prevention efforts.
