School of Medicine
Nadia Samaha (M’24) is a medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and graduated from Cornell University in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in human biology, health, and society. Nadia’s experiences of working with Syrian Refugees and underprivileged communities have made her passionate about global health and health policy. As a future physician, she hopes to integrate those fields into her career and work towards combating health disparities both at the local and global level. As a spring 2021 GHI student fellow, she worked with Dr. Pinaki Panigrahi on investigating the impact of pre/probiotics and diet in driving the health immune responses of globally relevant diseases such as COVID-19.
