Neal Horen

Dr. Neal Horen is a clinical psychologist and associate professor at the Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD) in the Department of Pediatrics; he is director of GUCCHD’s Early Childhood Division, including H.O.Y.A. Clinic. His work focuses on early childhood mental health and the development of integrated early childhood systems.
- Leads work on early childhood system development in the United Arab Emirates.
- Works with the Center for Early Childhood at Tec de Monterrey.
- Leads a study of early childhood mental health across Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Co-led studies of adverse childhood experiences and their impact in Abu Dhabi.
- Works in Lebanon and Jordan on early childhood mental health of displaced Syrians.
