Master's Student in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences
Nina Chereath (G’25) is a student in the Master of Science in Global Health program at Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. While earning her Bachelor of Arts in medical anthropology and nutritional biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University, her passions centered around global perspectives on chronic illnesses, maternal and child nutrition literacy, and the political economy lens. After working as a nursing assistant for the Cleveland Clinic and several other community roles in Cleveland, she’s learned to value the role of personal narratives in addressing the structural roots of disease. Her research interests lie in syndemics, international comparisons of illness experiences, and personalized medicine. As a 2024-2025 Global Health Institute Student Fellow, she will work with Dr. Emily Mendenhall to investigate the role of human microbiota in post-viral syndrome experiences.
