Nour Alim

Nour Alim (C'25) is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in biochemistry with a minor in theology and religious studies. She is currently a research assistant in the Lung Screening, Tobacco, and Health lab at Georgetown University, which targets provider and patient behavior in order to address disparities between African American patients and white patients in lung screening awareness and utilization. She has also interned with the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention, where she engaged in community education and outreach to target health disparities in cancer screening. Her research interests lie at the intersection of health care, faith, and community engagement. Specifically, she is interested in how institutions and faith leaders can collaborate to increase faith communities' trust in the health care system. Alim is also interested in the role of faith-based organizations in public health initiatives. As a Global Health Institute Student Fellow, she is working with Katherine Marshall, Olivia Wilkinson, and Amna Qayyum on the Georgetown Commission on Faith, Trust, and Global Health.
