
Ryan Remmel
School of Foreign Service
Ryan Remmel (SFS’22) is a junior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in science, technology, and international affairs and minoring in biology. He was also a student researcher at Georgetown's Center for Global Health Science & Security and has previously worked in legislative offices. He is passionate about improving cooperation between scientists and policymakers in the fields of pandemic preparedness and prevention. As a spring 2021 GHI student fellow, Ryan worked with Claire Standley and Ellen Carlin to systematically review multiplex diagnostic approaches for acute febrile illness, including applications for early outbreak detection.
