School of Foreign Service
Saba Alfred (SFS’25) is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service studying science, technology, and international affairs with a concentration in biotechnology and global health. Her interest in pandemic preparedness arose after working as a research assistant in the COVID-19 Analysis and Mapping of Policies program with the Georgetown University Center for Global Health Science and Security. She is from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, so she is especially interested in health infrastructure on small islands and the intersections of climate change and global health. As a fall 2023 GHI student fellow, she worked with John Kraemer and Mark Meyer on the COVID-19 and seroprevalence project.
