Sarah Weber
School of Foreign Service
Sarah Weber (SFS’23) is an undergraduate student in the School of Foreign Service majoring in science, technology, and international affairs, with a concentration in biotechnology and global health. She is interested in pandemic preparedness and response policy, biosafety and -security, and syndemics, particularly the intersection of HIV and substance use disorder. She is also pursuing a certificate in Eurasian, Russian, and Eastern European studies. As a fall 2022 GHI fellow, Sarah worked with John Monahan to research the political framing and language used by national elected officials to argue for adopting public health measures during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
