Sayantika Ghosh (G’23) is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology program at Georgetown University. After obtaining her medical degree (M.B.B.S.) from Government Medical College, Agartala, she worked as a junior physician in one of the popular hospital chains in New Delhi, India. The immovable barriers of affliction she encountered during her academic training were far too menacing to be left unaddressed. Hence, her goal is to work towards changing the health care experience of the vulnerable sections of the population and extending help to those who truly need support. As a fall 2022 GHI student fellow, Sayantika worked with Dr. Indira Narayanan on a project related to providing support for newborn care in Jordan.
