Seth Epling

Seth Epling (G’23) is a graduate student in the master of science in global infectious disease program at Georgetown University, with a concentration in science policy. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2021 with a bachelor of arts in biology and researched microbiology and infectious disease in plants and animals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Seth started a career in health care working in testing facilities, vaccine clinics, and urgent care. He is interested in using his previous research and health care experience to study health care access and its consequences in infectious disease response. As a spring 2023 GHI student fellow, Seth worked with Margaret Baker on a formative literature review on removing barriers to public health interventions for religious and ethnic minorities.
