Shiwei Yu (G'23) is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program at Georgetown University. She completed a bachelor's degree in statistics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Shiwei believes that data science is a tool for exploring the world, and she is looking forward to applying the knowledge she has learned in the field of global health. As a fall 2022 GHI fellow, Shiwei worked with Dr. Ibrahim Bola Gobir to research electronic medical record systems in Nigeria.
