Georgetown University Medical Center
Sruveera Sathi (M'23) is a fourth year medical student who is passionate about global health, community engagement with vulnerable populations, and alleviating health disparities through research, policy, and advocacy. Before medical school, Sruveera conducted research on aid allocation during the Ebola epidemic and worked in health policy to strengthen the health care workforce in underserved areas. She intends to pursue a psychiatry residency and, ultimately, a career dedicated to promoting holistic mental health nationally and globally, combating health disparities in low-resource areas, and advocating for vulnerable communities. As a fall 2022 GHI student fellow, Sruveera worked with Dr. James Giordano to explore issues and implications of multinational enterprise in brain science upon global health and health promotions.
