McCourt School of Public Policy
Sumin Lee (G’23) is a graduate student in the master of policy management program at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Born in South Korea and raised in Canada, Sumin spent the last seven years serving in the Canadian government on issues related to health and foreign affairs, including the COVID-19 response. Her role at the forefront of decision-making inspired her to pursue policy studies. Sumin hopes to be a source of inspiration for other members of marginalized communities who want to make an impact through public service. As a spring 2023 GHI student fellow, Sumin worked with Jun Han to explore how social entrepreneurship and social finance (such as social bonds) can improve disability inclusion.
