Valeria Navarro

Valeria Navarro (G’22) is a master’s degree student in the global health program at Georgetown. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, she holds a medical doctor degree from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. Before graduating in 2019, she worked in research about family caregiving responsibilities in people living with HIV. She has three years of experience working in the medical research field and telemedicine before coming to Georgetown. Valeria is passionate about using her medical knowledge on global health interventions that could be scaled up to improve health outcomes in diverse disadvantaged regions worldwide. As a spring 2022 GHI student fellow, she worked with Dr. Christian Hunter on sexually transmitted infections in women living with HIV in Africa.
