Steven Singer

Steven Singer is a professor in the Department of Biology and a faculty affiliate at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also serves as director of the undergraduate major in biology of global health and co-director of the M.S. in global infectious disease. He is a member of the Global Health Initiative faculty committee.
International activities include:
- Is an expert in the fields of immunology and parasitology, particularly intestinal parasites such as Giardia duodenalis.
- Has active collaborations in Brazil with the University of Ouro Preto.
- Has taught)courses in molecular biology, immunology, and parasitology at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Previously directed the doctoral program in global infectious disease.
